#LUSHBIZARRE EVENT

Roll up, roll up. The #LushBizarre is in town. A few weeks ago, we were privileged with an exclusive perv of Lush's Christmas Collection at their #LushBizarre Event, and boy were we left speechless. The only thing we can equate the range to is Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory. It's an extravaganza, an overwhelming sensory experience, one we hope to capture with this post.

Just like their products, the launch was nothing short of a spectacle. It was bright, fun and filled with more glitter than Tinkerbell's wings (The PET free type of course!). Greeted by acrobats and treated to relaxing hand massages, we were almost fooled into thinking it was Christmas morning!

From naked, package-free products to recycled bottle tops and re-usable gift boxes, Lush has really outdone themselves to bring us a Christmas with a conscience. Santa's little helpers have been working hard in the Lush kitchens, using only sustainable and ethically sourced ingredients, and have eliminated the wastage that comes with the frenzy of gift giving. What we were most excited about were the knot wraps, inspired by the Japanese art of Furoshiki. These scarves make adorable gift wraps, but look even better styled as a head wrap!

Tantalising aromas and supple skin aside, what we enjoyed the most about the night was the enthusiasm and knowledge of all members of the Lush team. It was inspiring to see how passionate each of them were about the products and the ethical, environmental and social messages underlying their brand. We went home with a trail of glitter behind us and more conscious of our responsibility as consumers.

We were lucky enough to walk away with a handful of goodies from the collection. Tune in tomorrow for a glimpse of our favourites (here).
