MERCI.

We've caught a case of the Travel Bug. After coming back from our trip to the land of the rising sun, Japan in early 2014, we've been dreaming of jetting off to all corners of the globe. We've already starting planning a trip for later this year, but it's just not soon enough. There are so many places we want to see, so many streets we want to walk and plenty of cuisines we want to sample.

Over the last few months, we've accumulated a hefty collection of brochures, and with that, we have drawn up a list of countries and cities we want to visit. One of the top places has to be Paris. Pastries, cobbled streets and the rich culture, it just doesn't get any better than that.

In the meantime while we dream of croissants and the Eiffel Tower, we've settled for dressing like a stylish local. The phrase 'I woke up like this' was basically written for the French woman. Parisian style is effortless and chic. It's not over the top or obnoxious, but their stripes and muted palettes make for a quiet statement.

Not-so-basic basics are the key to nailing the Parisian look. A piece like this barely-turtle-neck turtle neck will add a twist to your outfit without screaming "look at me".
