The new year is about to roll in, and with 2016 only a few sleeps away, everyone is busy toasting the past 365 days of hurdles and triumphs. Delicious spreads, daggy dancing and good company are compulsory when bidding adieu to the year that was.
For us, the majority of shindigs we get invites to are more casual and intimate gatherings, usually backyard BBQs or relaxed gatherings. So unfortunately we don't really get to whip out our glitzy pieces often. We tend to opt for something cool because Australian Januarys are guaranteed to be a melting pot. Maxi skirts and dresses are our go to for many reasons. They tick the comfy box and are forgiving which means we can eat our body weight in food without having to worry about popping buttons.
