Colour My World: Workwear

Work wear can often seem tedious, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ll show you that whether you’re making spread sheets or crunching numbers you can still do it in style. The days of separating your fun and colourful weekend clothes from your dull office drabs are over!

OUTIFT 1:

This first outfit is a modern take on the traditional work ensemble of shirt and skirt, incorporating colour with a neutral office staple. The painterly print sleeveless button-up blouse adds pizzazz to the simple black circle skirt. We’ve paired the outfit with an ivory faux snake skin bag which ties in well with the ivory from the top.

OUTIFT 2:

This outfit is perfect for a busy woman on the move. The dress speaks for itself so you don’t need to fuss over accessories. Simply add a belt to define the waistline and slip on a pair of your favourite heels and you’re good to go. The bright floral print makes this a statement dress for Summer and Spring, but is extremely versatile and can easily be taken into Autumn/Winter with a pair of tights and a tailored blazer.

As you’ve probably realised, the outfits we went for were both skater style which is bang on trend. The cinched in waist accentuates the smallest part of your body and the full skirt distracts from all the bumps and lumps we know we all have.
So the next time you’re putting together an outfit for work remember  to step away from the safe and boring black and white,  instead incorporate colour and fun prints. Experiment with shapes and different cuts but avoid poorly tailored suits.
Embrace the colours of the rainbow and make every day a fashionable day!

  7. This is a great idea for a post! Both are really summer-y outfits, not really sure I could pull these off in England (without freezing anyway!) I especially love the first outfit, it's really wearable and gorgeous :)

    1. Unfortunately it's Autumn now in Australia :( But lucky for us it still gets pretty hot here so we can get away with wearing singlets, dressess and skirts without freezing!
