OH MY MILANI

Coming from the land down under, there's a lot we have to be proud about. We're home to cuddly koalas, inventors of the good ol' Hills Hoist (a. k. a. the clothes line), and the masterminds behind the beating heart of modern society- Wi-Fi!! However, when it comes to makeup, we feel like we Aussies have drawn the short straw. There's a world of brands we've only ever caught a glimpse of on our favourite beauty blogs. Cue 21st Century technology, because thanks to online stores like Vama, we can finally get our grimy fingers on some international cult brands, including the increasingly popular Milani!! Playing around with some of their products we feel like we have been missing out big time!

We've tried everything from pressed powders to mousse blushes, but our experiences with baked makeup powders are non-existent. You can say we're a little late to the party. Milani's Baked Bronzer in Glow was the first product we plucked out of the bag, and we were immediately hypnotised by the gorgeous marbled powder. In our opinion, this might as well be renamed Sunrays in a Compact. The shimmer in bronzers can be off-putting at times. But blended under the cheekbones and swept up towards the temples, this beauty is perfect for faking the I-just-got-back-from-vacationing-in-Cabo sun-kissed glow.

The Illuminating Face Powder in Beauty's Touch is the ideal multi-purpose product. Our hearts skipped a beat at the sight of the oh so pretty embossed roses. Beautiful in the pan, and even prettier on the cheeks, this pressed powder works wonders as a highlight, blush, bronzer and eye shadow! If you're after that glow from within complexion, look no further. This gem will leave your skin looking ridiculously radiant.

We proudly declare ourselves baked powder converts. This little compact beholds great things! The process of drying cream into solid powder makes Dolce Pink more intensely pigmented. Frankly, we should be thrown behind bars for unlawfully depriving our cheeks of this jewel. We have been swooning over the velvety texture of this blush and in awe of how buildable and blendable it is. Dusted over the cheekbones, it adds a natural flush and reflects light for a dewy, natural #fotd.

    1. Oh no really?! You definitely should pick up a few of their products. The minute we tried out the first product, we were kicking ourselves for not getting out hands on them sooner. Maybe we should petition Milania?! :)

    1. They certainly did not disappoint. That's always the risk with products that have been hyped up, but we were 100% satisfied :)

    1. Same! We've heard so much about them and seen millions of swatches, so we're glad to have discovered Vama. It's an Australian site and the people are so nice
